Registered Nurse - OR (Travel Assignment)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Work Environment

• Unit Type: Orthopedic Operating Room
• Number of Beds in Facility: Approximately 418-453 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 in the OR
• Equipment: Orthopedic-specific equipment
• Documentation System / EMR: Meditech
• Scheduling:

  • Options for 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts per week
  • On-call schedule includes 6 call shifts per 4-week period
  • Weekends on call
• Floating: Not required
• Dress Code: Hospital scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the Operating Room (OR), including OR experience within the last year
• Orthopedic and trauma orthopedic experience required
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR)
