- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: Charge nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
- Night Shift: Charge nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- EMR System: Meditech
Job Responsibilities & Procedures
- IV starts
- Blood draws
- Resuscitation
- EKGs
- Other typical emergency nursing duties
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Work Schedule & Environment
- Work 4 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call required
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Personality Fit: Active, personable
Additional Notes
- Floating is not required for this position
- Unit uses standard emergency department policies and guidelines
