Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care while promoting quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. The role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, mentoring and precepting team members, and participating in quality and safety improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
• Develop, prioritize, and implement plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
• Provide education tailored to patient and family needs throughout the care continuum and at discharge.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and foster teamwork.
• Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts and comply with regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, including at least 2 years in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• NICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• STABLE certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• No prior travel experience required.
