Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology RN

Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience required, covering all phases of care: pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Vascular experience preferred.
• Full-time schedule with 8-hour day shifts; rotating daytime hours between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Department operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Rotating call required for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Moderate sedation experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Rhode Island.
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Moderate sedation experience.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of specialty competency exams and skills checklists related to Interventional Radiology nursing.
• Immunization and health requirements including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine series or approved medical exemption.
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal).
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity proof.
  • Varicella immunity proof.
  • Tdap immunization within the last 10 years.
  • Hepatitis B immunization series or declination.
  • Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA).
• Fit testing for N95 masks within one year prior to start.
• Background checks and employment verifications as required.
• Fingerprinting within Rhode Island within 30 days of start (RN only).

Schedule & Work Environment

• Rotating day shifts with some flexibility in start/end times.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Vascular and scrubbing experience are preferred but not mandatory.
