Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Outpatient

Location: Onaga, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Physical Therapist primarily outpatient with some inpatient duties
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8)
• 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of experience in outpatient physical therapy

Certifications & Compliance

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required
• Other certifications may be required based on assignment (e.g., Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• State-specific exclusion search for Kansas
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel depending on facility) within the last 12 months, updated annually
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
• Immunizations and titers as applicable, including but not limited to:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • COVID vaccine or declination

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID carried during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement

This position offers a structured outpatient physical therapy role with some inpatient exposure, suitable for both new and experienced travel therapists.
