Description
Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Bristol, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Call required: 12-14 shifts per 6 weeks
- Rotating holidays observed
- Required to float to a nearby facility when needed
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- RCIS certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Licensure
- Must hold a valid license appropriate for Cath Lab Tech role (RCIS)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification required
- Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry check if licensed or working in Tennessee
- Drug screening: Standard 9-panel drug test within 14 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and titers required: MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Respirator medical evaluation and fit testing completed onsite
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Photo for badge must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete facility-specific forms and acknowledge policies including dress code, smoking/tobacco use, contaminated sharps exposure, and influenza policy
- References: Minimum 2 preferred, 3 ideal
- Skills checklist required
This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technologists with strong cardiac cath lab backgrounds and prior travel contract experience.
