Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Circulator (Nights)

Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Perform duties according to medical center policies, mission, and professional/regulatory guidelines.
• Support surgical procedures as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Michigan.
• Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience.
• Must be able to function as a Circulating Nurse.
• Experience with Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and Neurosurgery required.
• Completion of a skills checklist within one year of application is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Level II experience preferred.

Additional Information

• The position involves working in a surgical department with 7 operating suites.
• Surgical specialties include a full spectrum except open-heart surgery.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Paragon.
• Hospital-provided scrubs are required as dress code.
• References are not required.
• Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.
• Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• This role is night shift focused.
