Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech

Location: Okeechobee, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 100
• Staffing: Typically only 1 Nuclear Med Tech on staff; contract worker must be able to work independently
• Shift: Day shift only (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), no call, no weekends
• Patient Volume: Approximately 40 nuclear medicine exams per month
• Common Procedures: Stress, Lung, Bone, GI Bleeding, Thyroids, Lymphoscintigraphy
• Equipment: GE Discovery
• Documentation Systems: Meditech and PACS
• Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Florida
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (N) certification
• BLS certification
• Experience in Nuclear Med Tech - Radiology

• Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom)
• Department is ACR accredited

This position is ideal for an experienced Nuclear Med Tech who is comfortable working independently in a smaller unit with a moderate patient volume and no weekend or call responsibilities.
