Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Location: Evansville, Indiana
Unit: Post-Surgical Unit
Beds: 22
Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Provide nursing care on a post-surgical unit with a focus on medical/surgical patients during night shifts.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam
  • Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies
  • Completion of Ascension EKG Exam
  • Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Onboarding includes completion of specific unit and organization-required checklists and attestations.
  • All exams and certifications must be updated every 3 years or as specified.
  • Compliance with all health and safety protocols is mandatory.
