Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Easton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Shift: Days, 4x10 hour shifts (07:00-17:30) with 1 scheduled late shift per week (10:00-20:30)
On-Call: Required; must be within 30 minutes of facility during on-call shifts

• On-call hours: 17:30-07:00 Monday-Friday; 24-hour coverage on weekends/holidays
• Approximately 10-13 on-call shifts per month
  Weekends & Holidays: Required as scheduled
  Floating: May float to pre-op/PACU within unit/specialty as needed

Job Description

• Work in a cardiac catheterization lab with 2 Cath Lab rooms
• Average daily case volume: 7-14 cases
• Patient diagnoses include Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFIB, Bradycardia
• Procedures performed: Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker insertion, Loop monitors, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Cardioversions
• Equipment used: Balloon Pump, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
• Scrub color: Royal Blue

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac Cath Lab experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• National Tech Certification Verification
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing
• State License 1 Verification
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
• Two supervisory references required within 1 year of start
• Verification of at least 2 years hospital or equivalent acute care experience in the nursing position within the last 5 years
• Background checks including 7-year criminal search, education verification, and state-specific exclusions
• Physical exam and drug screening required within specified timeframes
• Immunizations and titers required or documented declinations for:

  • TB (with annual updates)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • TDaP
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption
• Fit mask test required within 1 year of start
• Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, badge application, dress code review, and orientation attendance

Orientation

• Held at 8:00 AM on Tuesdays (normal orientation schedule)
• Location: 2nd Floor - School of Nursing
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs or business casual (scrubs required when on floor starting Thursday)

Notes

• Candidates must complete all required documentation and certifications prior to or at orientation
• On-call shifts and weekend/holiday coverage are mandatory as scheduled
• Floating within specialty units may be required
