Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech

Location: Pratt, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must be proficient in Orthopedics (Total Joints), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Podiatry, and Endoscopy.
• Work settings include General OR, Labor & Delivery, and Orthopedics.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days of 8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), possibly negotiable.
• On-call every fifth or sixth weekend and one weekday.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technician experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment.
• Experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• National certification: NCCT or NBSTSA.

Additional Information

• Orientation includes safety manual acknowledgment and compliance training.
• Candidates must review and sign confidentiality and standards of performance agreements.
• Facility requires completion of specific training modules and return demonstrations for restraints and behavioral risk assessment.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required but declination or exemption forms must be completed if applicable.

Prior Travel Experience

• First-time travelers are not accepted; prior travel experience is required.

This position is ideal for experienced Certified OR Techs / Surgical Techs with strong multi-specialty proficiency and prior travel contract experience seeking a 13-week assignment in a hospital setting with a structured weekday schedule and weekend call rotation.
