Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery

Location: Orange Park, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule includes Monday through Friday shifts with on-call duties, plus every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with 2 CVOR beds.
• Patient load: Approximately 1-4 cases per day.
• Unit staffing includes a mix of RNs and scrub techs.
• Equipment: Standard Operating Room equipment.
• Documentation system: Meditech.
• Floating is rare but may include support for Cath Lab or Main OR.
• Emphasis on excellent patient care skills.
• Procedures performed: Cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases.
• Team performs cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases including:

  • Cardiac (CV/PV)
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
  • Femoral-Popliteal (Fem-Pop) Bypass
  • Mitral or Aortic Valve Replacement
• Experienced surgeons with fast case times and quick turnovers.
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs (provided).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
