Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description
- Work schedule could be Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.
- Position involves acute rehab experience or willingness to float to acute rehab with proper orientation.
- Floating between similar units is required.
- Open to accommodating block schedules at manager's discretion.
- Locals accepted; pending licenses not accepted.
- Facility is an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds.
- Charting system: Epic.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in specialty (Physical Therapy - Inpatient Rehab).
- First-time travelers accepted (no explicit prior travel experience required).
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license for California.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification as per AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification as per AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track (verify with clinical leadership if unclear).
Additional Requirements
- Must complete a background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required).
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit mask testing required (N95 or equivalent), updated annually.
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment.
Orientation and Training
- Must complete required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Annual regulatory requirements.
- Specialty-specific modules for Physical Therapy/Inpatient Rehab.
- Facility-specific modules as assigned.
- Epic training modules completion may be required depending on assignment.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.
Floating Policy
- Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other similar units within reasonable distance.
