Description
Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Main Operating Room (OR) – Spine, Hip, and Joint Preservation Center
- Number of ORs:
- 3 ORs for Spine and Joint
- 9 ORs for Spine and Joint procedures
- 4 ORs for International Hip Preservation Center
- Staffing: Approximately 60 staff members
- Shift Details:
- Day Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM, Monday to Friday (staff 8-11 rooms daily)
- Night Call: 5 PM – 11 PM, Monday to Friday (no overnight required)
- Weekend: Call only on Saturdays and Sundays
- Patient Ratios: Not applicable
- Equipment: Specialized for Spine and Joint procedures
- EMR System: Meditech
Job Description
- Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician in Operating Room (CST/ORT)
- Typical Procedures:
- Spine fusions, ALIFs, and all spine cases
- Total joint replacements
- Preferred Skills:
- Spine scrub experience (required)
- Joint scrub experience (required)
- General surgery experience (preferred)
- Personality Fit: Flexible and adaptable
- Call Requirement: Yes, call required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
- Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Recent Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Assessment of surgical technologist skills or education on managing hazardous drug risks per USP 800

- 10 or 12-hour shifts available
