Description
Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel Assignment)
Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit and Work Environment
- Unit: 4 South, South Tower, 4th floor
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Unit Staffing: 2 unit secretaries (6:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily), patient care techs available at all times (ratio varies with census)
- Equipment: Telemetry monitors in each room, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM), every other weekend, holidays required
- Floating: Nurses float to other units as needed
- Patient Experience: Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, AIDET communication framework

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with PICC line removal
Dress Code
- Required uniform: Ceil Blue Scrubs
- Hospital hygiene and dress code policies must be followed
