Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Call Requirements: None
- Unit: Telemetry
- Patient Population:
- CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI, Sepsis, Dysrhythmias, Pneumonia, COPD, COVID-19
- Post-procedure care including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and post-ICU cardiac surgery patients
- Medications: Non-titratable cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro)
- Floating: May float to ICU, medical-surgical units, or other telemetry-appropriate assignments
- Work Environment: Extremely busy, fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nevada
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
Additional Information
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up additional shifts as needed
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Floating assignments based on competency and organizational needs
- Provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Requires intensive continuous mental effort and sound clinical judgment
