Description

Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry

Location: Prestonsburg, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) nursing experience required.
Patient ratios typically 1:5 or 1:6; uses Meditech EMR.
Must float within scope of practice.
Every other weekend shift required.
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
Schedule is generally 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period.
Orientation occurs bi-weekly.
Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Floating and weekend shifts are mandatory.
PAPRs (Powered Air Purifying Respirators) cannot be accommodated.
Religious or medical exemptions for vaccines and fit testing may be reviewed onsite.
Candidates must not be submitted to more than one job at a time.
