Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Nuclear Med Tech with experience in Nuclear Medicine / PET-CT to work in a Level III trauma center. The position involves working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with periodic on-call duties approximately every third week (typically 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, weekdays and/or weekends).


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures
  • IV access and post-processing procedures
  • Operate equipment including GE 5 ring PET/CT, GE Hawkeye SPECT/CT, and soon GE 830 SPECT Camera
  • Work within a radiology department using Cerner EHR system
  • Participate in periodic on-call rotation

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Mexico
  • Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience with post-processing procedures

Work Environment

  • 198-bed hospital with a Level III trauma designation
  • Patient population includes cardiac, bone, and gallbladder cases
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, no weekend hours except on-call
  • Periodic on-call every third week
