Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Schedule: No call, no holidays, no weekends

Job Description

• Position requires a Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
• Cardiovascular nuclear medicine experience is helpful but not required.
• Operating Room (OR) experience is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Must meet all state licensure requirements for Missouri.
• Background checks including national and state criminal checks, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions.
• Education verification with official transcripts or diplomas.
• Primary source verification of certifications and licenses within 30 days of start.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only, RQI acceptable).
• Other certifications as applicable to the specialty and facility requirements.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, with follow-up protocols for positive results.
• Required immunizations or documented immunity/declinations for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine (or approved medical/religious exemption)
• Drug screening within 30 days of start.
• Fit testing completed onsite.
• Completion of facility-specific orientation, safety manuals, and competency exams including dysrhythmia/EKG testing as applicable.
• Professional references (2) within 3 years.
• Verification of recent work history and employment application required.

Additional Information

• Onsite fit testing and AVADE training may be required if extending beyond initial contract.
• Facility requires acknowledgment and signing of confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, and other facility-specific documents.
• Basic Dysrhythmia exam and medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position.

Experience

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine)
• OR experience highly preferred.
• Cardiovascular nuclear medicine experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Years of experience not explicitly stated; candidates with relevant nuclear medicine experience preferred.
