Job Description

• Work in the Operating Room setting with a focus on Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Must be competent with Philips Azurion and Siemens equipment platforms.
• Use of Ultrasound for arterial/venous access required.
• Procedures include but are not limited to:

  • Stroke thrombectomy
  • Embolization
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Fistulagram
  • Arteriogram with intervention
  • Venogram with intervention
  • Dialysis access and venous access
  • Y90 treatment
  • Chest port placement
  • Nephrostomy tube placement
  • Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiography (PTC)
  • Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) placement
  • Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiology (ARRT certification required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work on-call shifts including some weekends.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other verifications required.
• Proof of education and licensure primary source verification required.
• Compliance with health documents including:

  • Physical exam
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
  • Required immunizations or titers (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
  • Drug screening within 90 days of start
  • COVID vaccination or approved exemption
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams.
• Proof of 2 clinical references required.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Time off requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
• Candidates must submit a photo on a plain background prior to start for badge issuance.
• Candidates must bring a completed respirator questionnaire to orientation for fit testing.
