Description
Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Weekend, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Unit & Work Environment
- Unit: Antepartum (Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery)
- Newly renovated Women’s Services Unit
- Unit size: 19 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Documentation systems: Meditech & CPIN (primary)
- Floating as needed
- Scheduling to fill vacancies; holiday requirements discussed during interview
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN experience, including labor and delivery, with OB/GYN experience within the last year
- 2 years of hospital experience
- Experience working with high risk patients
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- RNC certification
- Meditech documentation experience
Work Environment & Policies
Dress code:
- Blue insignia scrubs required (must be ordered)
- Clean, healthy nails; no artificial or gel nails
- Neat, clean hair; pulled back if shoulder length or longer
- Clean, neatly trimmed facial hair
- Tattoos should be covered when possible; exceptions handled individually
- No visible piercings except ears (e.g., no nose or tongue rings)
Attendance policy: Company-wide attendance policy applies
Additional Information
- No call requirements
- High acuity patient experience preferred
- Weekend shifts only, every other weekend schedule
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
