Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
- Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts
- Start Date: ASAP
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years (minimum)
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, 1 day per week plus every 4th/5th weekend (Friday 6 PM to Monday 7:30 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: On-call and approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of the scheduled shifts
- Floating: May float within scope to Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from the facility)
- Pending License: Accepted, but must have Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for 1 ten-hour shift per 2 weeks
- Time Off: One time off request allowed per 13-week assignment, approved individually
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Other certifications as required per unit directives
Required Licensure
- Current Alaska RN license (must be in hand for auto offer)

Additional Job Requirements
- Must be able to float to related units (EP or IR) within scope
- Must comply with on-call and weekend requirements
- Must adhere to facility policies regarding time off and scheduling
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Respirator fit testing (annual, travel only)
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including state-specific searches as applicable
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Skills checklist updated annually as applicable
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific training) prior to start and annually thereafter

- This position requires adherence to on-call and weekend coverage schedules.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse license verification through NURSYS
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
