Job Opportunity: CST/ORT First Assist
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with First Assist experience for a community hospital and regional referral center. The facility is Joint Commission Accredited with 171 beds and a Level 3 Trauma Center. The position requires open heart surgery experience and involves working with a variety of surgical cases including total joints (MAKO robotics knees & hips), spine, orthopedic, neuro, craniotomies, robotics, OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and plastics.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend coverage provided by a call team
- Call requirements depend on staffing levels (approximately 3 days per month if 10 staff)
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Patient Population & Case Load
- Case volume ranges from 10 to 25 cases per day
- Diverse surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, robotics, OB/GYN, and more
Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with OR First Assist Certification
- Surgical First Assistant experience
- Open heart surgery experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
