Job Details

- On-Call: Yes, 3 shifts per month

Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid license appropriate for X-Ray Technologists in Oregon.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and unit assignment; verify with clinical leadership.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Must have a background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Includes SSN trace, death master index, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and state-specific abuse/neglect searches.
- Background checks must be updated annually.
- Employment History:
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years (7 years for advanced practice nurses/subcontractors).
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024, with annual updates.
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024, updated annually.
- Competency Exams:
- Medication test/pharmacology competency as applicable.
- Color blindness testing if required by unit.
- Specialty competency exams as applicable.
- Skills Checklists:
- Annual skills checklist required for applicable units.
- Radiation Badge: Issued by facility for applicable units (informational only).
Scheduling and Work Environment
- Schedule: Block schedule required, working Saturday through Wednesday.
- On-Call: Required 3 shifts per month.
- Weekend Work: Required on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Floating: No floating between units.
- Work Environment: Acute care hospital with 536 beds, teaching hospital setting.
Additional Notes
- Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance.
- Epic Access: Completion of Epic training modules required prior to or shortly after start.
- WorkRamp Modules: Completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules annually via WorkRamp LMS platform.
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a large, acute care teaching hospital with a defined schedule and clear certification and compliance requirements. Candidates should be prepared for weekend and on-call responsibilities and must maintain all required documentation and certifications current throughout the assignment.
