Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Clyde, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a 17-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population primarily geriatric and adult, with some pediatrics
• Self-scheduling using an app
• No call requirements
• Weekend hours every other weekend unless working opposite a weekender
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric cases
• Team-oriented, easy-going, friendly, and hardworking personality fit preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Shift & Schedule

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required

Additional Information

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Facility uses ED Paragon electronic health record system
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs and facility t-shirts; hoodies are not acceptable
