Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Call: 1 night per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 14 hours)
Every 4th or 5th weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 48 hours total)

Job Description

Provide nursing care in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) settings.
Must have broad knowledge and competency in surgical cases and procedures including but not limited to:
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- MVR, AVR, TVR (Mitral, Aortic, Tricuspid Valve Replacement)
- ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
- TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
- TCAR (TransCarotid Artery Revascularization)
- Impella insertion/removal
- Thoracic/Lung procedures
Epic experience within the last 12 months is required and must be documented in profile.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
Current certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Candidates must pass an Epic test-out or complete Epic training onsite.
Drug screening (10-panel) required within 30 days of start.
Strict adherence to appearance standards and facility policies is required.
