Description

Echo Tech (Travel)

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform adult full and limited echocardiograms (echos) and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures, including cleaning TEE probes.
  • Write preliminary echo reports.
  • Pediatric echo experience is a plus.
  • Scope includes Echo and TEE in inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency department (ED) settings.
  • Call required: after-hours and weekend rotation.
  • No floating or blocked scheduling.
  • Patient ratio approximately 5:1.
  • Use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems for echo reports.

Shift Details

  • Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cardiac Sonographer license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 1+ years of Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
  • Experience working with adult and pediatric patients
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
    • RDCS, RCS, or ACS credential

Additional Information

  • 48-hour guarantee not available.
  • Scrub color: any solid color.
  • No floating required.
  • Responsibilities include performing EKGs and Holter monitor hookups, editing and filing cardiology records, and billing charges related to cardiology services.
