Description

Echo Tech (Travel)

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform adult full and limited echocardiograms (echos) and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures, including cleaning TEE probes.
Write preliminary echo reports.
Pediatric echo experience is a plus.
Scope includes Echo and TEE in inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency department (ED) settings.
Call required: after-hours and weekend rotation.
No floating or blocked scheduling.
Patient ratio approximately 5:1.
Use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems for echo reports.

Shift Details

Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

Valid Cardiac Sonographer license in New Mexico
Minimum 1+ years of Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
Experience working with adult and pediatric patients
Pediatric echocardiography experience
Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- RDCS, RCS, or ACS credential

Additional Information

48-hour guarantee not available.
Scrub color: any solid color.
No floating required.
Responsibilities include performing EKGs and Holter monitor hookups, editing and filing cardiology records, and billing charges related to cardiology services.
