Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Roswell, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), every other week (EOW)
Schedule: Block schedule may be accommodated if days vary weekly
Floating: Required to float as needed, rarely; may float to ICU for Med Surg Overflow or Step Down patients
Call: On-call required but rarely needed; no additional call beyond scheduled shifts

Job Description

• Work on a General Med Surg Unit with some post-op ortho and general surgery patients
• Patient ratio typically 1:6, occasionally up to 1:7
• Use of Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System
• Scrubs color: Royal Blue

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification required
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers (agency must be registered with the state)

Additional Information

• Start date: ASAP, within 4 weeks of submission
• Must be able to float to other areas as appropriate
• Call is rarely needed and only scheduled based on census demands
