Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Description

• ICU Registered Nurse position with a start date approximately 3 weeks from offer.
• Assignment length is 13 weeks with possible extension.
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW)
• Possible float assignments to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU).
• Includes holiday shifts.
• Minimal to no Return to Origin (RTO) allowed (must be included on submission).

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Required Skills

• Mechanical Ventilation (Vents)
• Intracranial Pressure Monitoring (ICP)
• Telemetry
• Pulmonary Artery (PA) Lines
• Balloon Pumps
• IV Start
• Swan-Ganz Catheter (SWANZ)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required.
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements

• Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided).
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used: Cerner/Soarian.
• No travel pairs allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• Enrollment in or verification through NURSYS
• State License 1 Verification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Proficient in Mechanical Ventilation (Vents)
• Skilled in Intracranial Pressure Monitoring (ICP)
• Experience with Telemetry
• Competent in managing Pulmonary Artery (PA) Lines
• Knowledgeable in Balloon Pumps
• IV Start proficiency
• Experience with Swan-Ganz Catheter (SWANZ)

Documentation and Compliance

• Two recent supervisor/manager references required (within 12 months).
• Skills checklist updated annually.
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no selfies, shoulders up, plain background).
• Facility-specific health and safety modules must be completed prior to start.
• Various facility-specific forms and attestations required, including legal name and address verification.

Notes

• Candidates with an address within 30 miles of the assignment location will not be considered.
• Candidates with an address 31-50 miles away may have adjustments in pay (not disclosed here).
• Fingerprinting requirements apply; candidates must be willing to complete fingerprinting in Georgia if out-of-state.
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service.
