Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Marshall, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide professional nursing care focused on patient comfort and well-being.
Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment throughout all phases of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Direct and supervise the nursing patient care team, including Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and other technicians.
Collaborate with the nursing team and other disciplines to deliver patient care.
Complete timely documentation of patient care, condition, reactions, responses to treatment, and track patient progress.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience in charge nurse roles.
Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR).
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.

Additional Information

Emergency Department has 11 beds.
Night shift position.
