ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Albuquerque, New Mexico

- Licensure: Pending New Mexico RN license accepted
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience of at least 1 year within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State License 1 Verification
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
- Minimum 1+ years of nursing experience
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- I-9 verification
- Driver’s License or State ID
- E-Verify compliance
- 7-year background check (updated annually) including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
- Education verification (highest level)
- Photo for badge
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire for positive TB results, renewed annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination documentation
- Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Signed fingerprint consent form (New Mexico only)
- Unit-specific skills checklist (annual)
- Work history verification for past 7 years
- Completed employment application/resume
Additional Notes
- Ratios are 1 nurse to 2 patients in ICU
- Floating to other units may be required
- Weekends are mandatory
- Orientation and EPIC training can be attended pending fingerprint clearance
- Flu vaccine declinations are not accepted; medical exemptions require provider signature and approval
This position is suitable for ICU RNs with at least 1 year of experience who are open to travel assignments and night shifts, with flexibility for floating and weekend work. Pending New Mexico RN licensure is accepted, and first-time travel nurses are welcome.
