Job Opportunity: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics
Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric experience and structural heart training. The role involves performing various echocardiography procedures on both adult and pediatric patients. The position requires working four 10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, with on-call duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outpatient and inpatient echocardiograms.
- Cover procedures as needed within the Echo Tech Department.
- Utilize PACS and GE ultrasound equipment.
- Conduct general and cardiac transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE).
- Perform specialized echo procedures including 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Pharmacologic Stress Echos, Transesophageal Echo (TEE), and Treadmill Stress Echos.
Patient Population
- Adults and pediatrics
Schedule
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (Tuesday-Friday)
- On-call as required
Required Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients, including pediatric echocardiography experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification
- Experience with PACS systems
- Experience with GE Healthcare ultrasound equipment
Equipment Experience
- GE ultrasound systems
Additional Requirements
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
- Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and drug screening required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test for masks within 1 year of start (annual renewal)
- Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB test, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Competency exams and color blindness testing as applicable
- Photo ID for badge issuance
