Location: Garden City, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an Ultrasound Technician for a hospital in Southwest Kansas. This is a travel assignment with day shifts and a 40-hour guarantee plus on-call duties. The position involves performing a variety of ultrasound imaging including vascular, obstetrics (all trimesters), and other procedures. Echocardiography experience is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
• On-call required after 9:00 PM and on weekends
• No self-scheduling; fixed shift hours
• Weekend and holiday on-call coverage

Department & Equipment

• Department: Radiology - Ultrasound
• Number of ultrasound rooms: 4
• Equipment: Toshiba ultrasound units (with new Phillips units coming soon)
• Imaging systems: EPIC RIS, Fuji PACS
• No floating to other departments
• Radiologist available on-site three days per week

Typical Workload

• 10-15 scans/studies per day depending on hours worked
• Types of studies: General ultrasound, vascular, OB (all trimesters), procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification through CCI
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Experience with general ultrasound, OB, and vascular imaging
• Must be able to provide a valid driver’s license and be within a 60-mile radius for orientation week
• Agency will provide radiation badge

Additional Information

• Orientation week requires clinician to be in-state, even if some modules are remote
• No IV starts required
• Dress code: No specific scrub color provided
