Job Opportunity: Acute Care Physical Therapist
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Summary
Seeking a Physical Therapist specializing in Acute Care for a short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation. The position does not require floating between units, on-call duties, weekend shifts, or block schedules. Expected patient ratio is 1:1.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist

- Uniform/Dress Code:
- Licensed nursing personnel wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (print tops generally not allowed except in specific units).
- Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs.
- Parking: Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots.
- Floating: No floating between units required.
- On-call/Weekends: Not required.
- Patient Ratio: 1:1.
Compliance and Training Requirements
- Completion of facility and specialty-specific WorkRamp modules prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required.
- Epic system training modules may be required depending on assignment.
- Various competency exams and skills checklists may be required based on unit and specialty.
- Some state-specific attestations and background checks may apply depending on placement.
Summary
This is a travel Physical Therapist position in an acute care hospital setting in Texas, requiring at least 1 year of acute care PT experience and appropriate licensure. The role offers a 13-week contract with no on-call or weekend requirements and a 1:1 patient ratio. Candidates must meet comprehensive background, health, and training requirements prior to start.
