Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Job Description
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the Respiratory Services team at a large regional hospital. The facility is a Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke and neonatal intensive care units, and offers advanced respiratory care including robotic surgery support and interventional cardiology.
Unit Information
- Department: Respiratory Services
- Number of Beds: 854
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
- Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
- Patient Ratios: 10-25 patients per therapist
- Equipment Used:
- GE R860 Adult ventilators
- Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
- Newport HT70 transport ventilators
- V60 Non-invasive devices
- Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
- Floating Areas: All critical care units and floors
- Dress Code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
- Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

- The role involves working with adult, neonatal, and pediatric patients across various critical care settings.
- Candidates must be able to work varied shifts including weekends.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
