Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Variable Day Shift with Call)
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient and family education, assess patient needs, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Montana
- Minimum 1.5 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
- 1 year circulating experience
- 1 year scrub experience

- Collect comprehensive patient health data (Assessment)
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
- Identify expected outcomes and develop individualized care plans
- Implement and evaluate the plan of care
- Promote health and a safe environment
- Enhance quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
- Maintain current nursing knowledge and competency
- Evaluate own nursing practice against professional standards and regulations
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Integrate ethical provisions and research findings into practice
- Provide leadership within the professional practice setting

Stroke Competency
- Comply with policies and protocols related to hyperacute and acute stroke care
- Complete two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire
- Participate in one hour of annual cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education
Additional Information
- Variable day shift positions with call; flexibility to cover all shifts is required
- Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
Prior Travel Experience
- Prior travel experience is required for this position.
