Job Opportunity: Transplant IMC Registered Nurse (RN) - Days

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)


Job Description

  • Provide post-operative care for vascular, kidney, and liver transplant patients.
  • Perform hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments.
  • Monitor surgical sites for bleeding or infection and evaluate graft function.
  • Monitor labs, urine output, fluids, and electrolytes.
  • Administer pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulation, and IV therapies.
  • Identify complications such as thrombosis, graft dysfunction, rejection, or other transplant-related issues.

  • Adults to Geriatrics

Unit Details

  • Intermediate Care (IMC) unit
  • 27 patient rooms
  • Scrub color: Navy Blue
  • Holidays: Required as scheduled
  • Weekends: Every third weekend required
  • Floating: Required within specialty and related units
  • On-call: Not required

Required Qualifications and Compliance

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of Intermediate Care experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Transplant experience

  • Candidates must sign job description and confidentiality agreements prior to start.
  • Facility-specific dress code and badge photo requirements apply.
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required as applicable.
  • Floating may include other units within the specialty scope.

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required for this position.
