Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Job Description
- Provide imaging support in the Operating Room (OR) for vascular interventional radiology procedures.
- Work schedule includes 10-hour days from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Rotating on-call every 4th week.
- Must be willing to work within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year.
Certifications & Compliance
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other specialty certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with recruiter).
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and other standard screenings.
- Drug testing within 2 months of start, including 10-panel screen with marijuana and fentanyl.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (positive required or follow-up testing)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or titer)
- Seasonal flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted)
Additional Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
- Professional appearance guidelines must be reviewed and acknowledged.
- Compliance with facility-specific forms and screenings prior to start.
- May require fingerprinting and child abuse registry checks if assigned to behavioral health or specific units.
- Radiation badge must be supplied by the facility for new candidates.
