Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida

Job Description
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients experiencing severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
- Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
- Assisting physicians with procedures
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Managing ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and other medical equipment
- Administering intravenous fluids and medications
- Suctioning and airway management
- Collaborating with the critical care team
- Responding to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols
- Advocating for patients and educating/supporting their families
- Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
- Potentially serving as case managers or performing administrative duties
- May be required to float to lower acuity units depending on census
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care
