    Job Opportunity: Acute Care Physical Therapist

    Location: Walla Walla, Washington
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Details

    • Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; 10-hour shifts
    • Weekend Requirement: Yes
    • Floating: Yes, position may float between units
    • On-call: No
    • Patient Load: Approximately 10-12 patients per day
    • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
    • Total Staffed Beds: 104
    • Charting System: Epic
    • Parking: No fee

    Required Experience and Skills

    • Acute care physical therapy experience required
    • Inpatient rehabilitation (IPR) experience is beneficial

    Required Certifications

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Other certifications as applicable per clinical track (verify with clinical leadership)

    Required Documentation & Compliance

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
    • Immunizations and health screenings including:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, updated annually
    • Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • State-specific background and registry checks as required by Washington state law

    References and Employment History

    • Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
    • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years (7 years for advanced practice nurses) with month/year format for dates

    Additional Requirements

    • Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
      • Annual regulatory requirements
      • Specialty-specific modules as applicable
      • Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background
    • Float policy acknowledgement (may be required to float to other units/facilities within reasonable distance)

    Required Experience and Licenses

    • Valid Physical Therapist license in Washington
    • Washington State License
