Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
• Required Experience: Minimum 3 years recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing (first-time travelers accepted only if 3+ years recent experience)
• Required Trauma Experience: Level I Trauma experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Required
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:7 (team nursing model with support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed (block weekend scheduling generally not accommodated)
• Locals: Not accepted (strict 100-mile radius rule)
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with Level I Trauma patients
• Level I Trauma experience
• Experience working in a large hospital setting

Additional Requirements

• Two recent professional references
• Background checks including statewide, county, federal, education verification, sex offender search, and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry
• Competency exams and annual updates as required
• Photo for badge meeting strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
• Compliance with dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, no prints or embroidered scrubs, business casual with lab coat for RN Case Managers
• Submission of all required documentation prior to start date (including licenses, certifications, background checks, health documents)

Work Environment

• Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care hospital
• Team nursing model with support staff
• Night shift with variable on-call and weekend requirements

• Candidates must not be submitted to multiple job IDs/facilities simultaneously
• All Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
• Locals within 100 miles are not accepted for this travel position

This position is ideal for experienced Medical Surgical RNs with trauma center experience who have prior travel nursing assignments and are ready for a night shift contract in a high-acuity hospital setting.
