Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - ED/MedSurg Swing
Location: Garrison, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7a-7p)
Hours per Day: 12
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Call/Standby Requirement: Flexible time
Floating Requirements: May float to ED holds and may work charge nurse shifts
Unit Details
- Unit Type: ED/MedSurg Swing
- Number of Beds: 22
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
- Acute: 1 to 4
- Swing Bed: 1 to 6
- ED: 1 to 4
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Any
- Telemetry: Yes, RNs read strips in ED
- Respiratory Equipment: NEBS, O2 nasal and mask; ventilator used only in ED and for transport; CPAP may be used if brought in by swing bed patients
- Charge Nurse: Present on unit
- Nurse Aids: Not specified
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience
- Ability to titrate drips (normal titratable and set rate drips)
Orientation
- Unit-specific orientation provided
- Orientation scheduled on days, every other week
- First to float orientation included
Additional Information
- Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule
- Cannot have worked permanently or PRN at this facility within the last 12 months
