Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Location: Beachwood, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry and Step-Down Unit (SDU)
Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Rotating weekly schedule:
    • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights
    • Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights
  • No Sundays

Job Description

Seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to work in Med/Surg telemetry units and SDU. This position requires working night shifts on a set rotating schedule.


Required Qualifications

Licensure

  • Valid, permanent Registered Nurse (RN) license for Ohio
  • Primary source verification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration
  • Temporary licenses are NOT accepted

Experience

  • Specialty: Medical/Surgical Nursing
  • Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN Med/Surg competency required

Certifications

  • BLS (American Heart Association) – required for clinical positions

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Preferred but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
  • MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
  • Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series with declination, or positive titers within 15 years
  • Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (October–March) or mask and declination forms required
  • Tuberculosis Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
  • Fit Test: Completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually (specific respirator models listed)
  • Physical Exam: Completed within 1 year prior to start, must state ability to work without restrictions

Background and Verification

  • Criminal Background Check: Within 6 months of start, including social security trace and national sex offender registry
  • Ohio Fingerprints: Required (BCI&I and FBI checks depending on residency duration)
  • Employment Verification: Past 5 years verified through third-party

  • I-9 Attestation: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
