Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Open heart experience required
  • Scrub experience required
  • Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (06:00 - 16:30) with alternating days off
  • On-call 1-2 days per week with 30-minute response time
  • Work every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM) and holidays as needed
  • Floating as needed
  • May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
  • EPIC experience required

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Pennsylvania
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required (refer to unit/job description)

On-Call & Weekend Requirements

  • On-call with 30-minute response time
  • Work every 3rd or 4th weekend
  • Work at least one major holiday

Screening & Interview Process

  • Clinical screening to determine fit
  • Manager interview required

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance (must be current and compliant with Pennsylvania state requirements)
  • Education verification (highest level)
  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
    • Varicella vaccine or positive titer
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination
  • Drug screening (9-panel) within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
  • Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
  • Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
  • Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam)
  • Photo for badge (passport-style, professional)
  • Completion of required facility-specific documents and agreements (code of conduct, confidentiality, health & wellness, etc.)
  • Completion of required online learning modules and new hire orientation

Additional Notes

  • Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
  • Facility requires a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
