Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Belleville, Illinois

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (06:30 AM - 05:00 PM) with rotating days off
• Some evening, weekend, and holiday on-call required
• On-call requirement: 10 shifts per month, 24/7 coverage
• Floating required within scope between multiple nearby facilities
• No block scheduling accommodation
• Local candidates within 75 miles not accepted
• Radial access and TR bands experience preferred
• Sheath pulls required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Must meet all state and facility-specific licensing and background check requirements

Experience & Skills

• Prior travel experience: Not required
• Must be able to float between facilities as needed
• Experience with radial access and TR bands preferred

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required
• Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units
• Professional license primary source verification required
• NURSYS verification required for RN license
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, including comprehensive drug panel
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframe
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Required facility-specific documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, hand hygiene policy, dress code policy, and others must be completed prior to start
• Competency exams and unit-specific skills checklists required and must be updated annually

• Must adhere to facility policies including fingernail and hand hygiene policies
• References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)

• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week for 3 shifts of 12 hours, or 48 hours/week for 4 shifts of 12 hours
