Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Open heart experience required
- Scrub experience required
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (06:00 - 16:30) with alternating days off
- On-call 1-2 days per week with 30-minute response time
- Work every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM) and holidays as needed
- Floating as needed
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Screening & Interview Process
- Clinical screening to determine fit
- Manager interview required
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance (must be completed or in process prior to or within 45 days of assignment start)
- Education verification (highest level of education)
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
- TDAP within 10 years
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (vaccines or positive titers)
- Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 1 year (agency-specific requirement)
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency (pass/fail)
- Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and learning modules prior to or at start
Additional Notes
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Facility requires a professional, passport-style photo for badge
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific agreements including confidentiality, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitments
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates should be aware prior to submission
