Description
Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position
Location: Towson, Maryland
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Under general supervision, deliver physical therapy services by evaluating patient needs, determining goals, and developing treatment plans in accordance with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act. Treat patients using appropriate therapeutic interventions and participate in team and interdisciplinary meetings. Demonstrate competency in treating multiple patient populations within the acute care setting, including at least one high-risk patient population.

- Knowledge of physical therapy theories, practices, and standards
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and schedule patients efficiently
- Proficiency in standardized tests to support documentation
- Ability to manage an average caseload per productivity standards
- Proficient in treating at least two high-risk patient populations per hour
- Basic computer skills and EMR navigation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of current Physical Therapy experience
- BS, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist license
- Acute care experience is highly preferred
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
Additional Requirements
- Submission of a recent resume/work history
- Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapy discipline
- Two supervisory references: one from the last 6 months and one from the last 12 months
Notes
- Candidates may request time off equivalent to 1 week of contracted hours during the assignment.
- Orientation sessions may be scheduled up to 6 weeks in advance.
- The position involves working in an acute care setting with diverse patient populations, including high-risk groups.
