    Description

    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (LDRP RN) - Night Shift

    Location: Frisco, Colorado
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Nights
    Hours: 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week


    Unit & Patient Care Details

    • Unit: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Mother-Baby (L&D/PP/MB)
    • LDRP Beds: 8
    • Postpartum Beds: 8
    • Operating Room Suites for C-Sections: 1
    • Deliveries: Approximately 35 per month
    • Patient Type: Low risk, >36 weeks gestation
    • Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Follow AWHONN guidelines
    • Charge Nurse: Charge RN takes patient assignment
    • Nurse Aids/Techs: 1 OB tech per shift
    • OB/Neonatologist: Not in-house 24/7
    • Anesthesia: Available only if epidural is running
    • Respiratory Equipment: CPAP commonly used for babies due to high elevation; ventilator use is very uncommon
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) System: OBIX
    • Telemetry Monitors: Phillips; RNs read their own strips

    Scheduling & Work Requirements

    • Self-scheduling available
    • Weekend Requirement: 2-3 full weekends every 6 weeks
    • Holiday Requirement: 1 full summer holiday and 1 full winter holiday
    • Call Requirement: 2-3 call shifts every 6 weeks
    • Floating: Rare, but may assist other units as needed
    • Orientation: Unit-specific, includes 2 shifts on nights, 2-3 full weekends, and call shifts during orientation period
    • Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided

    Required Qualifications & Certifications

    • Specialty Experience: Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
    • Certifications:
      • ACLS (American Heart Association)
      • BLS (American Heart Association)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • STABLE Certification
    • Skills: Ability to titrate drips such as oxytocin and occasional magnesium sulfate

    Additional Information

    • Orientation week requires clinicians to be physically present in-state, even if some modules are remote
    • Must submit a valid driver’s license (radius requirement: 60 miles)

    This position offers the opportunity to work in a small mountain hospital setting with access to outdoor activities nearby.
