• Hours: 9 hours per day, 4 days per week (4x9's), 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources.
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify plans of care based on patient and family needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Administer medications necessary for procedures.
• Manage patient care during moderate sedation.
• Monitor hemodynamics throughout procedures.
• Document procedure events.
• Use and understand supplies and equipment related to various interventional radiology procedures.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Specialty Procedures and Skills

• Peripheral vascular work
• Venous central lines
• Tube changes
• Neuro procedures (preferred)
• Embolization work (arterial and venous)
• Venous thrombectomy work

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
