Nuclear Med Technician – Presque Isle, ME
Job Overview
- Start: ASAP
- Schedule: 4 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), 10-hour shifts (4/10 hour shifts)
- Shift hours: Rotate start times between 5:30-6:00 AM or 7:00 AM
- No weekends, no call, no holiday work required
- Fixed location (no floating)
- Orientation: 2 weeks, adjusted based on skillset and comfort level
- Average patients per day: 8-10 (5 per day when performing PET CTs)
Specialty & Patient Care
- Specialty: Nuclear Imaging
- Procedures performed: PET CT, DEXA scans, Cardiac scans, Stress Rest tests, HIDA scans, Renal scans, Bone scans
- Patient types: Emergency Department, Outpatient, Inpatient
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Maine
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- NMTCB or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) certification
- BLS certification
- Dosimeter (dose reader badge) required
Work Environment & Support
- Imaging rooms: 3 (Gamma Camera, Stress Room, PET CT)
- Support staff per shift: Lead Tech plus 2 additional techs
- Radiologist available on site
- Internal transport support available
Technology & Equipment
- EMR system: Cerner
- PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
- Equipment used:
- Siemens dual head camera
- GE IQ PET CT

- Scrub color: Any solid professional color or facility-provided

- Required pre-employment documentation includes background checks, immunizations, drug screen, certifications, and other standard healthcare compliance forms
